How to Use the Agent Icon App to Generate Graphic
1. Download the Agent Icon application
Iphone Users:
- Navigate to the App Store
- Search “Agent Icon” and download the free app
Android Users:
- Navigate to the Google Play Store App
- Search “Agent Icon” and download the free app
2. Open the Agent Icon app and tap “Settings” in the top right corner
3. On the Settings page enter your Company Boomerang Number
This phone number gives you access to the Social Media templates intended for specific usage.

4. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Mobile Phone # and Email Address and tap “Save Settings”
5. To create a post, tap “Create Images” along the bottom of your screen
6. Agent Icon may ask for permission to access your Camera Roll, tap “Allow”
7. Tap “Select an Image” and choose an image from your photo library. Be sure to use a nice photo for your post. For tips on taking better photos, click here for tips on photo taking.
8. With your desired image uploaded, browse our selection of template styles and sizes to find one that you like:
The Tall Rectangular shape is for Instagram Stories
The Square shape is for still-photo Posts
There is a second batch of templates that are also square in shape, but at a bigger pixel size for Instagram Videos further on down on the list.
9. Once you have found a template you wish to use, tap “Share” and select where you want it to go!
How to Use the Phone Numbers to Generate Graphic
*Note: Text option only works with photos, not videos.
On your smartphone, create a new text message with the image you would like to use, and send it to the appropriate number associated with your Listing Type & Brand (Heritage or Lingle).
In less than ten seconds, you will receive a texted link with your customized graphic. Click on the link to view graphics.
You can now scroll through all of the sizes and styles to find the graphic you want to share. Once you find the graphic you want to use, click the “Download” button.
When the page loads, simply press and hold your finger on the image to trigger a pop-up menu to display. Select “Add To Photos” or “Download” to save the image to your phone’s photo gallery. *Note: Options may vary from phone to phone.
You can then easily share your graphic to social media.
How to Take Photos for Agent Icon
Taking photos with your mobile device is easy and simple. As long as your phone has a camera, you can take your own property photos with ease.
Prep the home for photos. Taking professional photos starts with a subject, in our case, a home. Clean up any debris in the yard and tidy up inside if possible, to show clean and organized rooms. Be sure to straighten any wall decorations and fluff couch pillows.
If your phone has a HDR feature built-in, turn it on for better quality photos. You can do this from your camera settings in your phone. Turn off “Auto HDR” or “Smart HDR”, but then, while in the camera app, select “HDR” before taking photos to give yourself more control. This will leave HDR on and will allow your camera to capture more detail in the image such as shadows under furniture and highlights on glass.
Shoot your photos in Landscape Orientation (phone tilted on its side). Landscape photos are better, because they can be used for a lot more things, such as social media. Landscape photos will give you a wider image which is key especially for capturing the front of a property in full and it looks more professional. It is also a good idea to hold the phone lower, near your waist to get a better angle on the room or the house as a whole.
Try to wait for bright sunny days when taking exterior shots. Natural sunlight generally provides the best lighting for any photo. Time of day is important too. Aim for the middle of the day to get the most consistent light, over the course of an hour or so. This will allow you to have photos where the light doesn’t change much and as a result your color will be more consistent if there are multiple photos.
Turn the flash off. Flash is a great feature in many aspects of photography, but not for real estate. The inside of a home should be warm and inviting but using a flash could make an image look harsh and cold instead. Flash can also create odd lines and hard shadows in some areas of the photo.
How to Access Wow Photos from Your Phone
As an agent, you should be getting emails periodically for new listings from WOW Video Tours. These emails provide you with professional photos taken at the listed property. You can access these photos and use them for your Agent Icon marketing.
Open any email from WOW Video Tours from your mobile device. In the email, a line in the middle reads “To view your photos click here” Tap the “Here” link to open the photo gallery in a browser tab.
Once the browser has navigated to your photos, find which ones you wish to use and screenshot the photo to save it to your camera roll.
Iphone Users:
- Click the Volume Up Button and Lock Button at the same time to take a screenshot. Your screenshot will appear in the bottom left corner of your screen. Tap the screenshot and then you will then need to crop the photo down to the image itself and tap “Done” to save.
Android Users:
- Click the Volume Down Button and Power Button at the same time to take a screenshot. If that doesn’t work, try holding the Power Button for a few seconds.
